“Death Becomes Her” could become a TV series thanks to Bravo.
According to Variety, the network and Robert Zemeckis are working on a one-hour drama adaptation of the film starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn. Zemeckis, who directed the film, is on board to executive produce alongside Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine. No writer has been tapped to pen the show about two rival women who attempt to seek immortality.
“Death Becomes Her” is just the latest film Bravo is attempting to turn into a TV show.
“These pilots give us an opportunity to explore worlds and characters that are distinct from our unscripted programming,” Andrew Wang, vice president of scripted development and production at Bravo, said in a statement. “Yet, both projects feature the memorable storylines and strong, unique characters that our Bravo audience craves.”
No casting has been announced for “Death Becomes Her,” “The Jonses” or “Heathers.”
